Dominican Republic

Traveling is a wonderful leisure activity which allows a person to experience different cultures first hand. The picture above shows the beautiful scenery of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I am traveling here in just two weeks for a relaxing vacation with my boyfriend. We are going to stay at an all-inclusive resort for five days and four nights. Many of the engaging activities we are looking forward to include: scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, para sailing, and just relaxing in the sun. Fortunately, both my boyfriend and I speak enough Spanish to get by while we are visiting. This trip is my first time being out of the country and I look forward to learning more about the culture.

  • when we want to use a verb after a preposition.
  • as subjects and complements.
  • to list activities.
  • to add information to what is expressed in a clause.

Question to think about:

If so, where was your favorite place and why?

Hi, how are you? I love your page. I think it's very exiting that you'll be traveling to the Dominican Republic. I have been to Puerto Rico for nearly 3 weeks. I loved it there and would love to go back someday. I think the culture is just amazing. I also went with Molloy to Leon, Spain on a study abroad program this past summer where I lived in a Spanish home. I was able to live the culture first hand and I really enjoyed it. Life in both places is very different than life here. I hope you have a great time!
